Welcome to Revyn. We're on a mission to make second-hand selling effortless and trustworthy — connecting buyers and sellers across the UAE through a marketplace built on simplicity, community, and care. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") set out the rules of the road: how Revyn works, what we expect from you, and how we keep things fair for everyone.
1. Who We Are
Revyn is a peer-to-peer marketplace for buying and selling pre-loved fashion, accessories, and lifestyle items in the United Arab Emirates. We provide the platform that connects buyers and sellers, handle secure payments through Stripe, and coordinate door-to-door delivery in partnership with Zajel.
Revyn is operated by Revyn Preloved FZ-LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates and the holder of our trade licence. Whenever we say "Revyn," "we," "us," or "our" in these Terms, we mean that company.
2. About These Terms
A few words to make these Terms easier to read:
- "Platform" means the Revyn website (revyn.ae) and the Revyn mobile app, together with any related services we offer.
- "User," "you," or "your" means anyone who creates a Revyn account or uses the Platform.
- "Seller" means a User who lists an item for sale on Revyn.
- "Buyer" means a User who purchases an item through Revyn.
- "Content" means anything you upload, post, or share on Revyn — including listings, photos, descriptions, messages, and reviews.
Revyn acts as a marketplace and is not a party to the sale contract between Buyer and Seller. We facilitate transactions, hold payments in escrow through Stripe, and coordinate delivery, but the underlying agreement to buy and sell is directly between the two Users.
3. Your Revyn Account
To use most of Revyn, you'll need an account. You can create one with your email address, or by using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google.
To register, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of the UAE. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when you sign up, and to keep that information current.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect someone else has accessed your account, please let us know straight away at hello@revyn.ae.
We may suspend, restrict, or close your account if we reasonably believe you've breached these Terms, acted dishonestly on the Platform, or put other Users at risk. Where possible, we'll let you know first and give you a chance to put things right.
4. Using the Revyn App
When you download the Revyn app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to install and use the app on a device you own or control, solely for the purposes set out in these Terms. This licence does not transfer ownership of the app to you, and it ends if your account is closed or these Terms are terminated.
You agree not to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where permitted by UAE law. You also agree not to use the app on a device that has been jailbroken, rooted, or otherwise modified in a way that compromises its security.
We may release updates to the app from time to time. Some updates will be optional, but others may be required for the app to keep working — for example, when we add new features, fix bugs, or address security issues. If you choose not to install a required update, parts of Revyn may stop functioning correctly.
Standard mobile data and carrier charges may apply when you use the app, and these are your responsibility.
5. Permissions on Your Device
To work properly, the Revyn app needs access to certain features on your device. We only ask for what we genuinely need, and you can change these permissions at any time in your device settings — though some features may not work without them.
- Camera and photo library — so you can take photos of items you're listing or upload existing ones from your gallery.
- Notifications — so we can let you know about offers, messages, sales, deliveries, and updates to your account.
- Location (optional) — used only to make delivery and pickup more accurate when you choose to share it. We never track your location in the background.
- Face ID, Touch ID, or device biometrics (optional) — if you turn this on, we'll let your device verify your identity instead of asking for your password every time. Revyn never sees or stores your biometric data.
6. Push Notifications
If you allow them, we'll send you push notifications about things that matter to your account: a new offer on your listing, a message from a Buyer or Seller, a delivery update, a price drop on something you've liked, or important changes to Revyn.
We may also occasionally send promotional notifications — for example, about new features or seasonal campaigns. You can opt out of promotional notifications at any time without affecting the essential ones tied to your transactions and account.
You can turn off all notifications in your device settings whenever you like.
7. Signing In With Apple or Google
You can choose to create a Revyn account using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. When you do, we receive limited information from those providers — typically your name and email — and use it only to set up and secure your account.
These sign-in services are operated by Apple and Google respectively, and their own terms apply to your use of them. Revyn is not responsible for the availability or behaviour of those third-party services.
8. Selling on Revyn
As a Seller, you are fully responsible for the items you list and sell on Revyn. By creating a listing, you confirm and agree that:
- You legally own the item or otherwise have the legal right and authority to sell it.
- The item is authentic, accurately described, and represented through clear, truthful, and up-to-date photos.
- Any flaws, defects, repairs, alterations, signs of wear, missing parts, or damage have been clearly disclosed in the listing description and images.
- The item is safe, clean, and suitable for resale.
- The price is set by you and displayed in UAE Dirhams (AED).
- Your listing complies with all applicable laws and regulations in the United Arab Emirates.
- The item does not violate these Terms or fall within Revyn's prohibited items policy.
As a Seller, you are also responsible for:
- Responding to buyer inquiries honestly and in a timely manner.
- Shipping the correct item exactly as described in the listing.
- Ensuring the item is available and ready for shipment once sold.
- Packaging the item securely and appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Using suitable protective materials for fragile, delicate, luxury, or electronic items.
- Following Revyn's shipping and packaging instructions where provided.
- Ensuring that packaging is clean, safe, and does not contain prohibited or hazardous materials.
- Removing any personal information, tracking devices, or unrelated items from the package before shipment.
- Cooperating in the event of a dispute, delivery issue, return investigation, or authenticity review.
Revyn is not responsible for loss or damage caused by inadequate, unsafe, or improper packaging by the Seller.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: counterfeit or replica goods, stolen items, weapons, illegal substances, recalled or unsafe products, used cosmetics, used underwear, hazardous materials, and any item that infringes intellectual property, trademark, copyright, or other third-party rights.
Revyn reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove, restrict, reject, or disable any listing that violates these Terms, our Seller Guidelines, applicable laws, or the safety and integrity of the platform. Repeated or serious violations may result in temporary suspension, permanent account closure, cancellation of transactions, withholding of payouts where legally permitted, or other appropriate action.
Designer & Authenticated Items
When you list an item from a designer or luxury brand, you expressly declare that the item is authentic and that you are its rightful owner. Revyn may authenticate designer items through an independent inspection. If an item fails authentication, the sale is cancelled, the Buyer is fully refunded, and you accept full responsibility for all authentication (inspection) fees, shipping costs, and return-shipping costs. Selling counterfeit, replica, or otherwise inauthentic items is a serious breach of these Terms: repeated or deliberate listing of counterfeit items may result in suspension or permanent removal from Revyn, and you remain liable for any resulting costs or losses.
9. Buying on Revyn
When you buy an item on Revyn, you're entering into a contract directly with the Seller. Revyn facilitates the transaction by collecting your payment, holding it securely, and releasing it to the Seller once the item has been delivered and the buyer protection window has closed.
Buyers can communicate with Sellers through Revyn's in-app messaging and may make offers using our offer feature. Once an offer or price is accepted and payment is made, both parties are bound by the sale.
As a Buyer, you agree to inspect the item promptly on delivery and to raise any issues within the buyer protection window described in Section 12.
10. Fees & Payments
Selling on Revyn is free. We don't charge Sellers a listing fee or a commission on sales. Instead, a Buyer Protection Fee is added on top of the item price at checkout, paid by the Buyer.
The Buyer Protection Fee covers the cost of secure payment processing, fraud monitoring, customer support, and our buyer protection guarantee. It is calculated as follows:
- AED 2.50 + 10% of the item price.
The full Buyer Protection Fee is shown to the Buyer at checkout, before payment is confirmed. Sellers receive 100% of the listed item price (less any optional services they choose, such as boost or promote).
All payments are processed through Stripe Connect. By using Revyn, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. Revyn does not store your full payment card details — these are handled directly by Stripe in line with PCI-DSS standards.
Funds from a sale are held by Stripe in escrow and released to the Seller once the item is marked as delivered and the buyer protection window has expired without an open dispute.
Optional paid features (such as boost or promote) are charged separately at the rates shown at the point of purchase. These charges are non-refundable once the service has started running.
11. Shipping & Delivery
Revyn handles delivery in partnership with Zajel. Once a sale is confirmed, Zajel will collect the item from the Seller and deliver it to the Buyer's address within the UAE.
Sellers agree to package the item securely, hand it over to Zajel within the time window shown in their account, and provide accurate dispatch details. Buyers agree to provide an accurate delivery address and to be available for delivery during reasonable hours.
Risk in the item passes to the Buyer once it has been delivered. If an item is lost or damaged in transit, Revyn will work with Zajel to investigate and resolve the issue, in line with our buyer protection policy.
Delivery times shown on the Platform are estimates only. While we work hard to keep them accurate, Revyn isn't liable for delays caused by Zajel, the Seller, the Buyer, or events beyond our reasonable control.
12. Returns, Refunds & Buyer Protection
Because Revyn is a marketplace for pre-loved items, sales are generally final. However, our buyer protection policy ensures that Buyers are protected if something goes wrong. Full details are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
A Buyer may raise a dispute within 48 hours of delivery if:
- The item is significantly different from its description.
- The item is counterfeit or not genuine.
- The item arrives damaged in a way not disclosed in the listing.
- The item never arrives.
Disputes are reviewed by Revyn's support team. If the dispute is upheld, the Buyer may be entitled to a refund and we'll arrange the return of the item to the Seller where appropriate. If the dispute isn't upheld, payment is released to the Seller as normal.
Buyer's remorse — simply changing your mind about an item — isn't covered by buyer protection.
13. Reports, Disputes & Acceptable Use
We expect everyone on Revyn to act respectfully and in good faith. You agree not to:
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other Users.
- Post misleading, fraudulent, offensive, or unlawful content.
- Attempt to bypass Revyn's payment system or take transactions off-platform.
- Use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to access the Platform.
- Interfere with the security or integrity of the Platform.
If you see something that breaks these rules — a suspicious listing, a counterfeit item, an abusive message — you can report it to us through the in-app report feature or by emailing hello@revyn.ae. Our team reviews all reports and will take appropriate action, which may include removing content, suspending accounts, or involving the relevant authorities.
14. Our Liability to You
Revyn operates the Platform with care, but we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly suited to every purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, we exclude all warranties, whether express or implied.
Revyn is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost revenue, lost data, or reputational harm. In any claim, our total liability to you is capped at the value of the transaction giving rise to that claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UAE law.
15. Your Privacy
We take your personal data seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains in full how we collect, use, store, and protect your information in line with UAE data protection law. By using Revyn, you consent to that processing.
When you use the Revyn app, we may also collect device-related information — such as device identifiers, operating system version, app version, and crash logs — to keep the app secure, monitor performance, and improve the experience. This data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
16. App Store Terms
These Terms also apply to your use of the Revyn app. The following additional provisions apply depending on where you downloaded the app.
Apple App Store
Where you have downloaded Revyn from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:
- These Terms are between you and Revyn, not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Revyn — not Apple — is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, and intellectual property claims.
- You will use the app only in compliance with the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you as a User.
Google Play Store
Where you have downloaded Revyn from the Google Play Store, your use of the app is also subject to Google Play's Terms of Service, in addition to these Terms.
17. AI & Automated Tools
Revyn uses artificial intelligence ("AI") and other automated tools to help create, enhance, and moderate listings, and to keep the marketplace safe. For example, we may use these tools to generate or improve item titles, descriptions, and categories, to suggest a price, to analyse or tag the photos you upload, and to help detect counterfeit, prohibited, or unsafe items.
When you create a listing, you authorise Revyn to process the content you provide — including photos, descriptions, and item details — using these AI and automated tools for the purposes of operating, securing, and improving the Platform. Some of these tools are provided by trusted third-party AI providers acting on our behalf — currently Google, through its Gemini models — as described in our Privacy Policy.
AI-generated and AI-enhanced content is provided to assist you and is only a suggestion. You remain fully responsible for reviewing your listing and making sure it is accurate, truthful, and compliant with these Terms before you publish it. You can edit or remove any AI-generated content, and by publishing a listing you confirm that its final content is correct.
AI tools can sometimes produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected results. To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, Revyn does not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated content and is not liable for listings you choose to publish based on it.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as Revyn grows and evolves. When we do, we'll notify you through the Platform, by email, or through an in-app notification, where appropriate. Continuing to use Revyn after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Dubai.

Appendix: Legal Provisions
The following provisions form part of these Terms and Conditions.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Revyn and its directors, employees, and agents against any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, a breach of these Terms, or an infringement of any third-party rights.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property on the Platform — including Revyn's name, logo, branding, designs, and original content — is the exclusive property of Revyn. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any of it without our prior written consent.
By posting Content on Revyn, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, host, and use that Content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform.
Force Majeure
Revyn is not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, internet or power outages, or pandemics. Our obligations will be suspended for the duration of any such event.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. The affected provision will be replaced with one that most closely reflects the original intent, to the extent permitted by law.
Waiver
Revyn's failure to enforce any right under these Terms on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of that right on future occasions. No waiver shall be effective unless made in writing.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Seller Guidelines, represent the entire agreement between you and Revyn regarding use of the Platform and supersede any prior understandings or communications between the parties.
