Escrow & Payments
Effective date: 20 May 2026
Every payment on Revyn is held securely in escrow until both sides of the order are complete. This page explains how the flow of money works for buyers and sellers, and how disputes affect it.

1. How escrow works
When a buyer purchases an item, their payment is captured immediately but is not released to the seller right away.
- The buyer is charged in AED through Stripe at checkout.
- Funds are held in escrow while the order is being prepared, picked up, and delivered.
- Once the buyer confirms receipt — or 48 hours pass after delivery without a dispute — funds are released to the seller's wallet.
- If the order is cancelled before shipment, the buyer is refunded in full automatically.
2. Payment methods we accept
- Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit and debit cards.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay on supported devices.
- Revyn Credits — earned through referrals and promotions, spendable on any purchase.
All card data is processed directly by Stripe. Revyn never sees or stores your full card number, CVV, or bank details.
3. Fees and what you pay
For sellers
- Sellers keep 100% of their listing price. Revyn does not deduct a seller commission.
- Optional paid promotions (single-item boosts or wardrobe boosts) are charged separately.
For buyers
- Buyers pay the listing price plus a small Buyer Protection fee that funds escrow, dispute resolution, and refunds.
- Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the buyer and seller locations.
4. When sellers get paid
Once funds are released, sellers can spend or withdraw their balance.
- Released funds appear in your Revyn wallet immediately.
- You can withdraw to your linked UAE bank account via IBAN — payouts typically arrive within 1 to 3 business days.
- First-time sellers must complete identity and tax verification through Stripe Connect before their first payout.
5. Refunds
If an order is cancelled or a dispute is decided in the buyer's favour, the buyer is refunded to their original payment method.
- Card refunds typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear on the buyer's statement, depending on their bank.
- Refunds to Revyn Credits are immediate.
- Once a refund is issued, the corresponding amount is removed from the seller's wallet — if the seller has already withdrawn, the balance can go negative until the next sale.
6. Disputes and held funds
If a buyer opens a dispute, the funds stay in escrow until the dispute is resolved.
- Sellers cannot withdraw funds tied to a disputed order.
- Both sides have a chance to provide evidence — photos, tracking, and chat history.
- Revyn rules within a few business days, and the funds are either released to the seller or refunded to the buyer.
