Refund Policy
Effective date: 20 May 2026
Revyn is a peer-to-peer marketplace for pre-loved items, so we do not offer general change-of-mind returns. We do, however, refund buyers in full when an order is cancelled, lost, or genuinely not as described. This page explains exactly when refunds apply and how to request one.

1. When you can get a refund
You are eligible for a full refund in any of the following situations:
- The seller cancels the order before shipment.
- The seller does not schedule a pickup within 5 business days of the sale.
- The parcel is confirmed lost or undelivered by our courier.
- The item arrives damaged or is materially not as described, and a dispute is decided in your favour.
2. When refunds do not apply
Because every item on Revyn is unique and pre-loved, the following are not eligible for a refund:
- Change of mind after delivery has been confirmed.
- The item fits differently than expected when the listing measurements were accurate.
- Minor signs of wear that were clearly shown in the photos or noted in the description.
- Buyer's remorse after the 48-hour dispute window has closed.
If you have any doubt about an item, ask the seller through Revyn chat before you buy.
3. The 48-hour window
Once a parcel is marked as delivered, you have 48 hours to either confirm the item or open a dispute.
- If you confirm: funds are released to the seller immediately.
- If you open a dispute: funds are held in escrow until the dispute is resolved.
- If you do nothing: funds are auto-released to the seller after 48 hours and the order is closed.
4. How to open a dispute
If the item is not as described, open a dispute from the order page within 48 hours of delivery.
- Choose a reason — wrong item, damaged, fake, or materially different from the listing.
- Add at least three photos clearly showing the issue.
- Add a short written description of the problem.
The seller has 72 hours to respond. Our team reviews both sides and makes a decision within a few business days.
5. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are issued back to your original payment method.
- Card refunds typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay refunds follow the same timing as the underlying card.
- Refunds to Revyn Credits are immediate.
- If the buyer paid with a mix of cash and credits, refunds are split proportionally across both.
6. Partial refunds
In some disputes the seller and buyer can agree on a partial refund — for example, when an item has a small unmentioned flaw but the buyer is happy to keep it.
- Either side can propose a partial refund inside the dispute.
- Once both sides accept, the agreed amount is refunded to the buyer and the rest is released to the seller.
- If no agreement is reached, our team makes the final call.
