Delete Account

You can ask us to delete your Revyn account and the personal data we hold about you. This page explains how to make the request, what is deleted, what we are required to keep, and how long the process takes.

1. How to request deletion
You can request the deletion of your Revyn account in one of the following ways:
From the Revyn app
- Open the Revyn app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Account → Delete Account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your request.
By email
If you cannot access the app, email us at privacy@revyn.ae from the address registered on your Revyn account, with the subject line “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm your identity before processing the request to protect your account from unauthorised deletion.
2. What gets deleted
Once your request is verified and processed, we will delete or irreversibly anonymise the following personal data associated with your account:
- Profile information — your name, username, profile photo, bio, and contact details.
- Login credentials — your password and authentication tokens.
- Listings — items you have published that have not been sold.
- Wishlist, saved searches, and personalisation preferences.
- Push notification tokens and marketing preferences.
- In-app messages and offers you have exchanged with other Users, to the extent permitted by law.
- Device identifiers, usage history, and analytics linked to your account.
3. What we are required to keep
Under UAE law, we are required to retain certain records even after your account is deleted. These records are kept securely, accessed only when necessary, and deleted or anonymised at the end of the applicable retention period.
- Transaction, order, payment, refund, and tax records — retained for the period required by UAE financial and tax regulations.
- Records related to disputes, fraud prevention, and reports of misconduct — retained for as long as needed to protect Users and the Platform.
- Information we are legally required to keep in response to lawful requests from courts, regulators, or law-enforcement authorities.
Payment and payout information held by our payment provider Stripe is governed by Stripe’s own retention rules and privacy policy.
4. How long the process takes
After we receive your verified request, your account is deactivated immediately so that it is no longer visible to other Users. Deletion or anonymisation of the underlying personal data is completed within the timeframes required by the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), and in any case within 30 days from the date of your request, unless we are required to retain specific records for longer as described above.
Once your account is deleted, it cannot be restored. If you change your mind and want to use Revyn again, you will need to create a new account.
5. Active orders and outstanding balances
We may not be able to process a deletion request immediately if you have:
- Active orders that have not yet been delivered or completed.
- Open disputes or refund requests.
- A pending wallet balance or seller payout.
In these cases we will let you know which steps need to be completed first, and proceed with deletion once the relevant transactions are closed.
6. Your other rights
